Description
An unusual species of trilobite, crotalecephalus was most probably a mud dwelling trilobite due to the simplicity of its eyes. It is also one of the more striking ammonites of the Devonian with its rattlesnake like cephalon and head. This is a very large specimen and is dramatically prepped from its limestone matrix. It reveals a beautiful two tone brown to black exoskeleton and is in general fine condition.
