Arizona Petrified Wood

Description

This large slab of petrified wood features superb colourisation. Like an artist’s pallette colours radiate out into white, brown, red and yellows and orange. Coloured wood is much rarer than the pale colours normally associated with petrified material. The front is polished while the rear surface shows the colours and surface of untouched Nature. This specimen is from a full trunk or branch – not a fragment. Fossil wood is extremely durable and hard material, and is very resistant to even steel knife scratching. It therefore can be quite a dramatic and functional piece – like a cheese board or the base for an exceptional flower arrangement!

Treatments: Natural polish, no lacquer
