Trilobite Flexicalymene ouzregui

Description

This is a fine specimen with good preservation of detail. Interestingly, the rock matrix changes colour in the upper back area of the trilobite and in some other areas of the trilobite – as though the trilobite had stirred up different sediments. Although the Flexicalymene is common, it is much rarer to find in positive and negative form. With this type of fossil there are professional restorations as this trilobite is entombed in a fragile matrix. Both the imprint and the creature itself are known as fossils.
