Trilobite Coltraenia oufatenensis

Description

This specimen’s authenticity is made more dramatic by the separation of the pygidium from the thorax. A large size specimen, it is is fully extended on the matrix. Good detail in the eyes, and the cephalon is in good condition also. Warning: Many Trilobites are painted black, made from partial of complete mastic moulds, or do not show the exoskeleton clearly. Many are only 50% or less complete, with reconstruction made of epoxy and rock hiding the original missing parts.
