Goniatite

Description

Museum quality predominately white large goniatite specimen. Beautifully presented and carefully removed from its limestone matrix. The quality of this preparation is evident in all its dimensions. The spiral suture pattern is 100% evident on both sides of the ammonite. One side has a contrasting black and white patterning. The careful preparation shows the intricacy and natural beauty of this specimen including the sculptured involute. Small restoration evident which is not uncommon in an ammonite this size. This is a valuable edition to any collector’s inventory.
