Hematite Mini Ammonite

Description

This beautiful ammonite has a matrix primarily made of hematite, and during its fossilisation the suture pattern has become three dimensional. These are beautiful mini ammonites from the earliest days of the carboniferous period. They also make excellent study pieces and as such they are presented in a magnified specimen box.
