Ammonite Cross Section

Description

This fabulous specimen shows the inner coil of the ammonite exposed whilst being cradled in the partial outer coil. Suture patterning are clear on the outer surface of the inner coil, while the ribbing of the outer coil is a wonderful contrast. This is a fabulous example showing the different elements of an ammonite.
