Description
This beautiful exceptionately large ammonite features strong ribbing in its outer nacre and a beautiful outer fibonacci whorl on both sides. The colour is a pale buff / white and could be considered the classic ammonite. Beautifully symmetrical this piece would be well suited to a prestigious location, be it office or home – particularly as a design show piece as this image will never go out of fashion.
In fantastic condition, this ammonite is a better example than found in many museums. It is often used as an Index Fossil.
