Description
Black Uruguayan Amethyst. Discovered in 2012 and named Black Amethyst. These beautiful formations are made of clusters of amethyst points radiating out like little florets. They range in colour from diamante black, grey, mauve, and lilac. These are very unusual formations of amethyst, and many of them would be formed from stalactite phenomena.
This beautiful piece has sparkling light and dark grey crystals that would have originally hung down as stalactites. The crystals are enclosed in basalt. This specimen has large sugar sized light grey crystals. This a smaller specimen and would add intense conversationalist interest if set as a dining room feature alongside a complementing flower arrangement.
